Wednesday Words: 17 April 2013

For ‘Wednesday Words’ this week, hosted by Emma at Crazy With Twins, I am posting something I wrote some time ago, before I had a blog of my own. It was written in response to the question of belief – not belief as a faith or religion, but rather, something about life that you uphold personally.

I BELIEVE:

THAT IT IS MISGUIDED AND UNFAIR
TO JUDGE OR ASSESS ANYONE BY:

THEIR CAREER OR BUSINESS SUCCESS
THE CLOTHES THEY WEAR
THE CAR THEY DRIVE
OR THE HOUSE THEY LIVE IN

AND THAT:

ANY LEGAL OR MORAL DISPUTE
SHOULD BE EXAMINED DILIGENTLY AND IMPARTIALLY
BEFORE THE PASSAGE OF JUDGEMENT

AND ALSO THAT:

THE EXPRESSED OPINION OF THE MAJORITY
ON ANY MATTER
IS NOT ALWAYS THE FAIREST VIEW.

What do you think? Are there any issues especially dear to your heart? Let me know in the reply box if you like – or write a post of your own!

It's kind to share!

  1. Brilliant. Actually I think these could be applied to certain current affairs. I don’t know enough about Margaret Thatcher to know if I would have been for or against, but it seems everyone has judged her one way or the other. She had a job in which it is impossible to please everybody, which people have judged her on. Yet at the end of the day. She was still somebody’s daughter and somebody’s mother. She should be free to rest in peace without judgement. Xx
