It always seems fitting, to me, at any rate, that the various parts of different species of ivy, mostly quite poisonous, have such strange shapes, patterns, and/or colouring. I happened to spot a large clump, covered in berries like these. Oddly attractive, but they seem to send a warning, as well! It's kind to share!
I was just out looking for anything remotely seasonal, today. I didn’t find any holly berries, but this mass of ivy caught my eye. I always think ivy has a tremendous amount of intriguing shape and line; an interesting kind of mental refreshment, if you like. It's kind to share!
Old walls, like this one, fascinate me. This is actually part of an old railway bridge. Trains passing underneath might have taken troops, or supplies, on the first part of their journey to France in 1914. In contrast, we’re looking at this year’s new growth of ivy (the paler leaves.)
Those bricklayers knew how to build, all right. It just saddens me that they had to do that work for a pittance. But that is another story. It's kind to share!
