Alphabet Photography Project: J is for Joke

Toilets, not peopleAt the heritage railway not far from where I live, the toilet facilities at the main station, while more than adequate during most of the hours when the station is open to the public, are apt to be insufficient on ‘event days’ rendering additional provisions necessary. One member of the management team has his own particular brand of humour, hence the sign in the photograph.
(I have also heard references to ‘spare gentlemen’ although I’ve never seen a corresponding sign.)

This post is part of my continued involvement with the Alphabet Photo Challenge.

My Sunday Photo: 5 July 2015

MSP150705Yesterday, I succumbed once again to my addiction to the aroma of coal smoke and hot lubricating oil. Here, at Wirksworth, Derbyshire, the Henry Ellison takes the last trip of the day to Ravenstor. In the last few seconds of waiting to depart, her boiler pressure hit the maximum, so she was blowing off steam from the safety valve as she pulled away!
