Just two days ago (22 January) I found snowdrops had already put in an appearance in my father’s garden. I never seem to get tired of looking at flowers, somehow…!
Just recently, the prevailing weather has been unusually mild (but catastrophic in some parts of the U.K. due to flooding!)
Here, this has allowed a few flowers to continue to bloom. This hebe is one example – a cheering sight on a grey, dull day.
Today, I looked around my garden to see what flowers had escaped the effect of the frost. This red cyclamen was just about all I could find.
Note the leaf that is included on the left; it is on a sage plant, a popular herb at this time of year!
I’m back again this week to one of my favourite themes: flowers in the rain. These outdoor cyclamen grabbed my attention yesterday; I love this colour (in case I haven’t said so before!)
Thanks for visiting.
