Yesterday evening, the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway ran a special service – a steam-hauled trip from Wirksworth to Duffield and back, with a jazz trio on board, and the newly-restored bar coach fully operational! Here, the Henry Ellison prepares to pull the train back to Wirksworth. I always find there’s something rather charismatic about trains at dusk, especially when there’s a steam loco involved!

What a wonderful event this sounds like. I love steam trains
Thank you for linking up
What a lovely looking train!
Great photo. My eldest son was crazy about trains when he was younger and we often took him to railway museums. We took quite a few steam train journeys too and although they are not as comfortable as modern day trains, they were always really exciting.
So fun! I love the steam coming from it.

Lovely old train and what a treat to have a jazz band too
Having just spent the day at Didcot Railway Centre, I believe there is something special about steam at ALL times of day easy to agree that dusk might be even more special but never seen #mysundayphoto
