Looking round my garden yesterday (June 18) I was glad to find these baby apples starting to swell. I’m hopeful of a good crop this year. From a photographic point of view, though, I love it when I can successfully capture some sense of the texture of something – in this case, that slight furriness, left from when the flower dies back to leave the beginnings of a fruit. Try clicking on the picture to enlarge it, and I think you’ll see what I mean. I’m not always successful, mind!

Oh wow, I shall have to go and see if ours are showing yet
So exciting to fruit beginning to grow.
Yes, I can reach out and touch the fruit when I enlarge the image! #MySundayPhoto
I bet they’ll taste good soon. Our pear tree is starting to show some fruit now
Thank you for linking up
I checked one of my apple trees recently and the apples are starting to swell
I don’t think I’ve ever seen baby apples like that before. I just look out for the ripe ones. Fab photo!
Its really nice to look at details! I love those furries. I always view apples as smooth and this is something new and different =) #mysundayphoto
