Driving home through the countryside yesterday (14/05/16) I was struck by the sense of open space given by this view, especially after a week of working indoors. The scent, which I sadly can’t give you, only added to the effect. The lone tree (you can just see the top of it in this photo) also seemed symbolic; beauty in solitude is not loneliness, but a stimulus towards positive reflection.
It's kind to share!8 thoughts on “My Sunday Photo: 15 May 2016”

There is nothing quite like the rolling fields of oilseed rape – you capture it so well, especially with the lone tree. I will be back home in a few weeks so looking forward to seeing it for myself!
As much as oil seed rape is a pretty useless crop, it does look beautiful when it flowers like this. Great image (I’ll be publishing something similar on my blog later this week as it happens!) #MySundayPhoto
I love the colours in this photo. Beautiful at this time of year.

What a fantastic photo. The fields are looking beautiful at the moment.
Great shot and beautiful colors! I love the slant in the photo between the sky and the field. #MySundayPhoto
I love these rape seed fields at the moment the blue and yellow are so striking
Amazing colors! I always love this season because of the fields and how bright they are! #mysundayphoto
It does make for a great photo but I’m not a fan of the scent!
